Residents Of Trumansburg Joined The Town’s Board Of Education On Monday To Assist In The Process Of Evaluating An Internal Candidate For Superintendent.
Paula Hurley Has Been The Principal Of Charles O. Dickerson High School For The Past Four Years. Hurley Explained To Those Attending That Her Plan Is To Continue To Push The District To Grow. She Also Said That As Superintendent, She Would Not Consolidate School Staff Or Programs Even Though Student Enrollment Has Been Down.
The Board May Still Consider Searching For External Candidates For The Position, Although Many In Attendance Felt That Hurley Was Qualified.
The Board Of Education Will Review Public Survey’s Distributed At Monday’s Meeting And Could Make A Decision To Hire Hurley Or Search For External Candidates As Early As May 21st.
